Palmer Hefferan is a sound artist that believes in the importance of silence as a canvas – composing small sonic gestures to build intensity and emotion. She found her way into Sound Design while majoring in Film & Television at Savannah College of Art & Design. Soon, she switched her major and found her niche designing original soundscapes for radio, animation and film. At Yale, she expanded her work to include sound design & composition for theater, sound art installations & theatrical concert pieces that merge original music with theater design. Her most recent production is Forming the Year’s First Sky, a multimedia percussion concert.
